Tirta Empul is a national cultural heritage site. The complex, built circa 960 AD, at the time of the Warmadewa Dynasty. Tirta Empul, meaning ‘holy water spring’ is actually the name of a water source located within the temple. The spring feeds various purification baths, pools and fish ponds surrounding the outer perimeter, which all flow to the Tukad Pakerisan River.
Nestled in Manik Sawang, Kedisan, Tegallalang, Gianyar (Bali), Ulu Petanu is a hidden gem waterfall about 15 meters high. It lies approximately 30 minutes north of Ubud. The waterfall is surrounded by lush tropical forest and dense greenery, which helps create a cool, tranquil atmosphere. There is a clean, natural pool at the base, perfect for refreshing dips, especially after the short descent. The path to reach the waterfall involves descending about 50 steps from the parking/ticket area. The trail is generally well-maintained, but it can get slippery in the rainy season
