Bookable direct @ Grape Escapes Germany

Germany has been in the wine game since the Romans first planted vines along the steep slate slopes of the Mosel.

Take a Grape Escape to the magical world of Riesling. Taste a mix of globally acclaimed and boutique family managed vineyards with heart and soul, showing great examples of how German wine traditions produce some of the best-respected Mosel wines in the world.

During personal tastings there will be many opportunities to swirl, sniff and slurp RIESLING ( the star of the show ) in all its glory and variations from bone DRY to late harvest Riesling coming from the different soils of blue, red and grey quartzite slate. We might even find some special German Pinot Spätburgunder and cracking Sparkling along the way.

I believe in open minds and open wines. It can be that more thirsty winelovers will want to join. More the merrier! Please state if you prefer your tour private. an additional fee maybe required based on seasonal demand.

Pickup details:

For a grape escape to the Mosel I can pick you up from Frankfurt and surrounding areas. There is a travel time of about 2hrs based on traffic. An additional transfer of €200 may be added. Best is to start the tour at a hotel in the in the Mosel region or Mainz / Wiesbaden area of Rhein valley. On request and based on location of stay it is an option to visit Berg Eltz - in the the upper Mosel region. An additional fee maybe requested. I believe in sharing wines and good times. It can be that other wine lovers will want to join on the day. More the merrier! In saying that I still keep groups small and personal and check in before hand. If you wan your tour private please say up front. An additional fee may be requested based on seasonality.
