Visit Bran Castle and Peles Castle on this tour starting from Brasov. We will walk you through 2 different ages. In this tour, we will see a king’s palace (Peles castle) and a medieval castle (Bran Castle). So, let’s taste a little bit of Transylvania history. Besides the castles, we will visit the largest brown bear sanctuary in the world, learn more about the incredible creatures, and know more about the traditional Romanian brandy made out of different fruits.

    Libearty Bear Sanctuary Zarnesti

    We will bear watch at Bear Sanctuary, here time of 1 hour our guide will introduce us to the over 100 residents of the place and each of their unique stories. We will watch the bears as they roam in their spacious enclosures, climbing trees and taking dips in pools will make you feel extraordinary. This bears come from bleak backgrounds, thanks to the efforts of the sanctuary, they are now able to enjoy normal, happy lives. From the front of the sanctuary, we will have a great 360 degrees panorama which reveals the superb views of Bucegi Mountain and Piatra Craiului Mountains.

    Peles Castle

    We leave behind us some beautiful mountain resorts, Predeal and Azuga and we reach Sinaia, also known as “The pearl of the Carpathians”. Here we will visit the magnificent Peles Castle, a 19th-century architectural masterpiece, which was the royal residence of King Carol I of Romania and known as one of the most beautiful summer royal residences in Europe.

    Bran Castle (Dracula's Castle)

    The medieval structure was built in 1377 to safeguard the trading route between Transylvania and Wallachia, enlarged and restored a few times to become a royal residence in the 1920s under Queen Marie of Romania. The next stop is Bran Castle also known as “Dracula’s Castle”, the castle is built on a hilltop with a view of each part of the valley. The castle got its fame from the novel “Dracula”, written by Bram Stoker, and the Dracula movie due later directed by Francis Ford Coppola. We will have time to take some souvenirs just outside of the castle, where you can find gifts and local handmade things of wool and wood.
