Foligno, an ancient town built in the middle of the Umbrian Valley, is traditionally considered the center of Italy and the world.

The town is characterized by amazing medieval palaces and fascinating churches, such as the Romanesque-style church of Santa Maria Infraportas.

You will be then guided in the mainsquare of Foligno, Piazza della Repubblica, and you will visit the Cathedral of San Feliciano, characterized by its two magnificent facades and the mixture of styles belonging to different eras: Gothic, Romanesque, Baroque and Neoclassical.

Finally, you will admire the wonderful Palazzo Trinci, a medieval palace connected to the cathedral by a fascinating “suspension bridge” and built in the Gothic style in the early fifteenth century. Particularly famous is the precious cycle of frescoes painted by Gentile da Fabriano to embellish many halls of the palace, such as the notorious Hall of the Liberal Arts and Planets and the Hall of the Giants, decorated with monumental figures from the ancient Roman history, such as Emperors Augustus and Nero.
