This workshop is led by Master Nakagawa, the owner of the atelier, offering guests a rare opportunity to learn directly from a professional glass artist rather than an assistant or facilitator.
Unlike typical craft experiences, participants use a professional sandblasting machine and work through the full creative process—from design to finishing—within a compact 90-minute session. With a wide selection of traditional Japanese motifs and hands-on guidance throughout, even beginners can create a refined, high-quality glass artwork.
The small-group setting ensures personal attention, while the finished piece serves as a functional, authentic souvenir that reflects both Japanese aesthetics and the participant’s own design.

What to expect
In just 90 minutes, create your own personalized glass artwork using traditional Japanese motifs such as geisha, kimono patterns, samurai, Mount Fuji, and more. Under the guidance of a skilled glass artist, you’ll learn the basics of the sandblasting technique and complete a beautiful, colorful piece to take home.
