What to expect

Immerse yourself in the rich culture of kimonos from across all of Japan while crafting your own unique art piece. While many people know of kimonos, very few know about the signature patterns and variations across different regions of Japan.

This workshop repurposes authentic vintage kimono fabrics, offering an eco-friendly and sustainable way to appreciate Japan’s beauty.

A professional kimono expert will guide you through the history and cultural significance of kimono, making this both an enjoyable art and learning experience for beginners.

You can choose from a variety of exquisite kimono fabrics: the vibrant Bingata from Okinawa, the earthy Oshima Tsumugi from Amami, the elegant Kaga Yuzen from Kanazawa, and the refined Kyo Yuzen from Kyoto. Using simple techniques, you will create a beautiful art panel featuring your selected fabric to take home as a keepsake.

Take home a unique piece of Japanese art and turn your travel memories into a tangible keepsake!
