This morning we’ll lead to Spello, or with the words of Julius Caesar the "Splendidissima Colonia Julia", an enchanting village of Roman origin, listed among the most beautiful villages in Italy, thanks to its rich environmental, cultural and artistic heritage. Among its places of interest: Torri di Properzio, Chiesa di Santa Maria Maggiore and Cappella Baglioni with majolica floor of Deruta and frescoes by Pinturicchio.
After lunch we’ll go discovering Assisi, Franciscan place par excellence, not only in Umbria and in Italy, but all over the world. We’ll take a stroll around its fascinating alleys, admiring the most remarkable sites of the city: Basilica di San Francesco, Chiesa di Santa Chiara, Piazza del Comune, Cattedrale di San Rufino, Chiesa di San Damiano.
Today we’ll visit Orvieto, an ancient city of Etruscan origin that dominates the valley of the river Paglia from the top of the tuff cliff on which it stands. Old town, Duomo, St. Patrick's Well
In the early afternoon we’ll reach Todi, "The most livable city in the world" or "The ideal city", to admire its treasures: Cisterne Romane, Church of San Fortunato which preserves in the crypt the tomb of Jacopone Da Todi, Tempio Della Consolazione by Bramante, Cathedral of the twelfth century built on the ruins of the ancient temple to the god Apollo, ceramists’ workshops, and more.
In the late morning we’ll lead to Montefalco, known as the Balcony of Umbria (Ringhiera dell’Umbria) from which you can enjoy a breathtaking 360 ° view of the entire Valle Umbra. We’ll have the chance to visit the old town, admire the amazing panorma from one of the many lookout and enjoy a truffle-menu lunch accompanied by prestigious “Rosso Montefalco” and “Sagrantino” wines, the pride of the local agriculture
In the afternoon we’ll reach Spoleto, the ancient capital of the Lombard dukes. Spoleto is often considered one of Umbria’s most graceful hill towns. Spoleto will leave you breathless thanks to many Roman and medieval attractions that will make an unforgettable impression.
This morning we’ll visit Perugia, Umbria county seat, city of Etruscan, Roman, Medieval and Renaissance history. The events of Perugia and its inhabitants live among its alleys, glimpses, churches, public buildings, and the numerous works of art exhibited in the city’s museums
We’ll spend the afternoon in Gubbio, one of the oldest Umbrian cities. Here you can breathe history from every stone and many are the traces of its glorious past: the Roman Theater, the Basilica of Sant'Ubaldo, the Gothic cathedral and the Church of Santa Maria Nuova.
