Itinerary

Duration: 8 days (approximately)
    Day 1

    Londorossi Gate (2100m) – Forest camp (2750m)

    1 stop
  • 1
    Mount Kilimanjaro

After breakfast, you'll drive from Moshi to Londorossi Gate, where registration formalities are completed before continuing to the Lemosho trailhead. Your adventure begins with a gentle hike through one of Kilimanjaro's pristine rainforests. Giant trees, lush vegetation, colorful birds, and playful black-and-white colobus monkeys make this a memorable introduction to Africa's highest mountain. By late afternoon, you'll arrive at Forest Camp, where your mountain crew will have your tents prepared and a hot meal waiting.

    4 hours Admission ticket included
  • Day 2

    Forest Camp (2750m) – Shira 1 Camp (3540m)

    1 stop
  • 2
    Mount Kilimanjaro

Leaving the rainforest behind, the landscape gradually opens into beautiful heath and moorland. The trail climbs steadily through giant heather and volcanic formations before reaching the magnificent Shira Plateau, one of the world's highest plateaus. On clear days you'll enjoy your first breathtaking views of Kibo Peak, your ultimate destination.

    6 hours Admission ticket included
  • Day 3

    Shira 1 (3540m) – Shira 2 (3840m)- Moir Hut (4114)

    1 stop
  • 3
    Mount Kilimanjaro

Today's trek crosses the vast Shira Plateau, offering panoramic mountain views throughout the day. Continuing to the peaceful Moir Hut area provides valuable acclimatization while avoiding the busier camps used by many other routes. Optional acclimatization hikes around Lent Hills help your body gradually adjust to the altitude, increasing your chances of a successful summit.

    6 hours Admission ticket included
  • Day 4

    Moir Hut ( 4114)- Lava Tower ( 4600)-Barranco Camp (3950m)

    1 stop
  • 4
    Mount Kilimanjaro

This is one of the most important acclimatization days of the trek. You'll climb steadily to Lava Tower (4,600m) before descending to Barranco Camp. Although you sleep at a lower altitude than your highest point of the day, this "climb high, sleep low" strategy allows your body to adapt naturally to the thinner air. The dramatic landscapes, volcanic formations, and giant senecio plants make this one of Kilimanjaro's most photogenic days.

    7 hours Admission ticket included
  • Day 5

    Barranco Camp (3950m) – Karanga Camp (4235m)

    1 stop
  • 5
    Mount Kilimanjaro

After breakfast, you'll tackle the famous Barranco Wall, often considered one of the highlights of the entire climb. Although it appears intimidating from below, the climb is non-technical and your experienced guides will assist you throughout. Upon reaching the top, you'll be rewarded with spectacular panoramic views before continuing through valleys and alpine desert to Karanga Camp. This shorter hiking day provides additional acclimatization before summit preparations begin.

    5 hours Admission ticket included
  • Day 6

    Karanga camp (4235) – Barafu Hut (4600)

    1 stop
  • 6
    Mount Kilimanjaro

Today's hike is relatively short but very important. You'll gradually ascend to Barafu Camp, your base for the summit attempt. After arriving, you'll enjoy an early hot dinner before your guide conducts a detailed summit briefing covering clothing, equipment, pacing, hydration, and safety procedures. You will then rest for several hours before beginning the climb to Uhuru Peak shortly before midnight.

    4 hours Admission ticket included
  • Day 7

    summit attempt Barafu Camp (4600m) – Uhuru Peak (5895m) – Mweka (3100m)

    1 stop
  • 7
    Mount Kilimanjaro

This is the most challenging—and most rewarding—day of your Kilimanjaro adventure. Starting around midnight, you'll climb under a sky filled with stars, steadily making your way toward Stella Point before witnessing an unforgettable African sunrise high above the clouds. From there, you'll continue to Uhuru Peak (5,895m)—the highest point in Africa. Standing at the Roof of Africa is a life-changing achievement and a moment you'll remember forever. After celebrating, taking photographs, and enjoying the incredible scenery, you'll descend to Barafu Camp for a short rest before continuing to Mweka Camp for your final night on the mountain.

    8 hours Admission ticket included
  • Day 8

    Mweka Camp (3100m) – Mweka Gate (1980m)

    1 stop
  • 8
    Mount Kilimanjaro

Your final morning begins with breakfast and a special farewell celebration with your mountain crew. After descending through beautiful rainforest, you'll reach Mweka Gate where you'll receive your official Kilimanjaro summit certificate.
