7:00 AM - Your driver will pick you up from your hotel in Amritsar in a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle. You will start your journey to Anandpur Sahib, which is located about 200 kilometers away from Amritsar. The journey will take around 4 hours, depending on traffic conditions.
11:00 AM - You will arrive at Takhat Sri Kesgarh Sahib Ji, Anandpur Sahib Gurudwara. This is one of the most revered Sikh institutions in the country and has a rich and glorious history. Your guide will take you on a tour of the Gurudwara, where you will learn about the history of the Khalsa Panth and the initiation of Khande di Pahul by Guru Gobind Singh Ji on the holy day of Baisakhi in 1699. You will also see numerous relics and memoirs from the past, including Guru Gobind Singh’s Khanda, Katara, his own gun, and the double-edged weapon called Saif. 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM - You will spend two hours exploring the Gurudwara and learning about its history. Your guide will explain the significance of the relics and memoirs that you see.
1:00 PM to 2:00 PM - You will have lunch at a local restaurant.
2:00 PM to 4:00 PM - After lunch, you will visit the Virasat-e-Khalsa Sikh museum. This museum is built in the honor of Sikhism and celebrates the glorious Sikh history. You will see relics and memoirs of the struggles and triumphs of Sikh warriors over the past centuries. The museum also displays the scriptures written by Guru Gobind Singh Ji.
4:00 PM to 5:00 PM - You will have some free time to explore the local market and buy souvenirs. Your guide will recommend some good shops where you can buy traditional handicrafts, textiles, and other souvenirs.
5:00 PM - You will depart from Anandpur Sahib and start the journey back to Amritsar. 9:00 PM - You will be dropped off at your hotel in Amritsar.
