  • 1

Your driver and guide will pick you up at your accommodation right after breakfast and drive you towards Lemosho Gate. On your way to Londorossi Gate you will have a great opportunity to stop along the way and grab lunch in a nearby local village, and purchase last minute supplies. You will then link up with your crew and begin hiking through the thick rainforest that covers the lower base of Kilimanjaro. On your short 3 to four-hour hike to Mti Mkubwa (big tree) Camp, you will come across local wildlife such as the Colobus Monkey so keep your peepers peeled for more along the way. This is a great option if you want a longer trek for acclimatization. It meets up with the Machame Route, Shira route and Umbwe route at Barranco Camp
