Mount Meru is located in Tanzania and is the fifth highest mountain in Africa. It is a great mountain to climb and offers spectacular scenery, including views of Mount Kilimanjaro. The mountain is unspoilt and less congested as compared to it’s Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Kenya counterparts.

    Day 1: Arusha – Momella gate – Mariakamba Hut

    Mt.Meru Park Gate – Mariakamba: 4-5 hours Drive from Arusha to the Mt. Meru park gate where you will be met by our game ranger and porters. Hike for the few hours to Mariakamba Hut at 8,500 ft. From here you may wish to take an evening walk on the slopes to view wildlife at one of the watering holes in the crater. Dinner and overnight rest at Mariakamba Hut

    Day 2: Mariakamba Hut to Saddle Hut

    The hike covers a distance of 4 km, taking approximately 2-3 hours to complete, with an ascent of 1,050 meters. You'll reach an altitude of 3,566 meters, offering breathtaking views and a sense of accomplishment. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Saddle Hut, where you can relax and prepare for the next stage of your adventure.

    Day 3: From Meru Summit to Saddle Hut to Momella Gate and back to Arusha

    Descend from the breathtaking Meru Summit on a 14 km hike back to Momella Gate, dropping 3,050m to an altitude of 1,516m. The trail passes through stunning alpine terrain and lush forests rich with wildlife. Pause at Saddle Hut for a break before continuing through the serene landscapes of Arusha National Park. Upon reaching Momella Gate, celebrate your achievement before a 1-hour drive back to Arusha, marking the perfect end to your unforgettable Mount Meru adventur
