Vegan/Vegetarian Tastes of Portugal

4.3
(6 reviews) Lisbon, Portugal

3 hours (approximately)

The experience is super relaxed, we start by sitting down and tasting a little bit of Portugal, while I give a brief explanation of what we're going to cook. Cooking while hungry is a bad policy.
When we're ready, we put on our aprons and start the teamwork, under my guidance. Some of the ingredients are from my backyard, and I'll take you to see what they are...

As we prepare the food, I'll tell some stories about the origins of the ingredients to be used.

In the end, we set the table and sat down to savor all the dishes we've prepared.

IMPORTANT: If you have any food allergies or follow a specific diet (vegetarian, paleo, vegan, etc ...) let me know as soon as possible so we can prepare in advance all the ingredients needed.

What to expect

The class begins with a warm Portuguese welcome. Participants are greeted with warm smiles, soft fado music in the background, and a glass of wine, water or tea made from local produce, providing a foretaste of what's to come.

I'll be your local instructor, passionate about vegetarian and vegan cooking, and I'll guide the experience, starting by introducing you to the fresh local ingredients we'll be using in the recipes. The products' quality and authenticity are emphasized, many of which may have been grown nearby.

This cooking experience is not just about food; it's about immersing yourself in the culture, creating memories, and celebrating the richness of Portuguese cuisine in an inclusive and delicious way. At the end, participants take away with them not only recipes but also an authentic experience that will remain etched in their memory.
