Pichwai is called the art of god. The artists depict the moods of god himself on the canvas. Pichwai - the name means ‘backdrop’, literally were decorations placed as the backdrop for the Lord Shrinathji (a form of Lord Krishna) idol. Today art lovers from around the world take joy in re creating this heritage art which so beautifully defines Rajasthani culture.

What to expect

The travellers with be guided through step by step instructions for painting their very own version of Pichvai Painting by trained tutors.
''Pichwai'' are old devotional paintings that originated around 400 years ago, in Nathdwara near Udaipur in Rajasthan, India. These paintings depict life of Srinathji (Lord Krishna). The most common motifs in these paintings are cows and lotus.
At the end of the session they can carry back home the painting as a souvenir of Rajasthani art & culture. All the materials like brushes, paints etc. required to complete their traditional art work will be provided at the venue.
This can be a fun activity for an art loving family or a group to soak themselves in this traditional and artistic workshop.
