    Kehlsteinhaus

The Eagle's Nest or Kehlsteinhaus was built in 1937-1938 as a gift for Hitler's 50th birthday. The building is an architectural masterpiece with fantastic views, rising on a narrow rocky ridge at an altitude of 1,834 metres in the middle of the Bavarian Alps near the Alpine town of Berchtesgaden. A visit to the Eagle's Nest is fascinating, your private English-speaking driver will take you to the car park, where a local bus will take you along a steep 6.5km long path carved into the rock. In 15 minutes you'll climb 700 metres. But that's not all. When you reach the upper car park, you'll have to walk through a marble-lined tunnel and then take a luxurious period lift up another 124 metres. There, you'll find not only the interior of the once-famous villa, but also the restaurant and, of course, stunning panoramic views of the Alps.

Don't miss the opportunity to take a boat trip and enjoy the peace and quiet of the national park. A breathtaking panorama of waterfalls and towering cliffs awaits you. The emerald green Königssee lies at the foot of the eastern face of the Watzmann in the heart of the Berchtesgaden National Park. At 190 metres deep, it is the deepest lake in Germany. The boat trip across the lake stops at the famous St Bartholomew's Church. The 17th century church is one of the most photogenic spots on the lake. There is a kiosk and restaurant nearby. Interestingly, the lake only freezes over once every 10 years on average. It takes unusually cold weather and no wind. A cruise on the lake is therefore an experience at any time of the year.

    Fortress Hohensalzburg

When you've had enough of the beauty Königsee, a comfortable private transfer awaits you to the next gem. The imposing Fortress Hohensalzburg is the largest surviving fortress in Central Europe and offers breathtaking 360° panoramic views. Originally built in 1077 by Archbishop Gebhard as a defensive fortress, it sits atop the Festungsberg hill. It still occupies a dominant position today, overlooking the city of Salzburg as its eternal guardian. Inside the castle there are several museum exhibitions. On the third floor are the original rooms, including the Princes' Hall, the Golden Chamber and the Golden Hall. The furnishings in these rooms are original and have remained unchanged since 1501/1502. The historic city centre is also beautiful, where you can visit the filming locations of the iconic musical The Sound of Music.
