The Grand Cities of Viceroyal 2025 tour is a unique 6-day, 5-night experience that takes you to discover Mexico’s living history through its most iconic colonial cities. From the majesty of Morelia to the artisan charm of Pátzcuaro; the vibrant culture of Guadalajara, the tequila tradition of Tequila and the folk art of Tlaquepaque, to the mining and historical heart of Guanajuato. This tour is intended for those who love architecture, art, history and traditions that have endured for centuries. Walk through cobblestone streets, visit cathedrals, squares, theaters and museums, and let yourself fall in love with the viceroyal essence that still lives in every corner.

The pickup is done in the lobby of the hotels or AirBnB of the Polanco Zones, Historic Center, Reforma, Condesa. Please be ready 15 minutes before pickup time.
If your AirBnB or hotel is outside our pickup area, we suggest you move to the Angel of Independence on Reforma Avenue. Our staff will be located on the corner near the Sheraton Maria Isabel Hotel.
We will visit the typical town of Morelia, considered cultural heritage of mankind and as one of the most beautiful of the colonial era where we can admire its monumental cathedral, the Government Palace, the martyrs square and the typical sweets market, as well as its famous aqueduct and the impressive chapel of Guadeloupe.
The second day begins with a visit to Patzcuaro, a place that retains its colonial charm intact. We will visit the House of the Eleven Courtyards, the Basilica of Our Lady of Health and the Library Gertrude Bocanegra, famous for its murals painted by Juan O’Gorman. We will also tour the Plaza Don Vasco de Quiroga and its traditional market
At the indicated time we will leave for Guadalajara, visiting en route the Rancho de Vicente Fernández, Los Tres Potrillos, as far as its guards allow since it is a private property; we will visit its restaurant for lunch on its own and its store considered “the largest cowboy shop in the world”. Continue to the city of Guadalajara, called also for its beauty "The Pearl of the West".
In the morning departure to the region of “Tequila”, name of the ancient and famous Mexican drink. In the town of Amatitlán, you will visit one of the best distilleries of this drink and where you can see its process of making.
After this visit, we head to San Pedro Tlaquepaque, a picturesque town that is part of Guadalajara and famous for its production of blown glass and crafts. We returned to Guadalajara to enjoy a free afternoon and accommodation.
The morning begins with a visit to the imposing Teatro Degollado, the Cathedral of Guadalajara, the Rotunda of the Illustrious Men and the Government Palace, where we can admire the splendid murals of José Clemente Orozco. We will also enjoy a panoramic view of the Hospice Cabins, another World Heritage site.
The day begins with a tour of the picturesque streets of Guanajuato, where we will visit emblematic places such as the University of Guanajuato, the Teatro Juárez and the famous Callejon del Beso. In addition, we will have the opportunity to explore the Mummies Museum, one of the most unique attractions in the city.
In the afternoon, continue to San Miguel de Allende; recently named cultural heritage of humanity. Arrival and visit of the city, which has beautiful and spectacular colonial mansions and its Gothic Neo-style Parish, unique in Mexico and symbol of this beautiful colonial city.
Departure by road to Queretaro, a historical and cultural city, a world heritage site, which was very important during the War of Independence. In the afternoon I return to Mexico City.
