It connects the mainland of Panama City to four small islands, Naos, Perico, Culebra, and Flamenco. The causeway was built using soil and rocks excavated during the construction of the canal and was named after Manuel Amador Guerrero, the first President of Panama. The newly renovated land bridge is a popular spot for walking and cycling, with bike lanes running the length of the road. It also offers some of the best vantage points for watching large container ships enter and exit the canal. The area features many tourist-related venues and activities, including a variety of fine cuisine, bike rentals, and electric scooters, and the Biomuseo, one of the city’s best museums that celebrates Panama’s incredible biodiversity
The Panama Canal Administration Building is the main administration building for the agency that runs the Panama Canal, previously the Panama Canal Commission, now the Panama Canal Authority. It is located in Balboa Heights, Panama City. The building was built by the U.S. and inaugurated on July 15, 1914, exactly a month before the official opening of the Panama Canal. It houses the offices of the Autoridad del Canal de Panamá (Panama Canal Authority)
