What to expect
You will descend 2000 feet over 600 meters to the floor of the crater for a half day crater tour. Explore the forest areas that are inhabited by monkeys and elephant, the lake area, where you may see the flamingos and the open savannah where the lions hunt for food.
Lunch in the Crater at a picnic site with great views of the marshes with hippos and birds. Ngorongoro Crater is nicknamed the Eighth Wonder of the World and for good reason. Here, an amazing panorama unfolds.
Ngorongoro Crater is a collapsed cone of volcano spanning around 260km square, home to lion, rhino, hippo, hyena and antelope by thousand. After a wonderful day enjoying the spectacular sights and sounds of this truly special place, we leave Ngorongoro around 15.00hrs, to arrive back in Arusha around 18.00hrs where you are dropped off at your hotel in Arusha city.
