At around midday, while most of Victoria Falls is resting, head out for a Lunch Cruise on the perfectly quiet Zambezi River. Sit back and allow our experienced chefs to prepare a three-course meal on board, using only the freshest seasonal ingredients. A selection of Pure Africa wines and drinks are served as an accompaniment. Look out for elephants, and if you’re lucky get up close to the resident hippos while enjoying your meal. It’s an ideal time to be lulled by the water and exult in the fish eagle’s call. You’ll be forgiven for thinking you have the place to yourself – as it’ll feel that way.

  • Victoria Falls (Pass by)

As you cruise on the upper Zambezi River, you will also see the mist rising up from the magical Victoria Falls. The Zambezi River is the fourth-longest river in Africa, the longest east-flowing river in Africa and the largest flowing into the Indian Ocean from Africa. The 2,574-kilometre-long river (1,599 mi) arises in Zambia and flows through eastern Angola, along the north-eastern border of Namibia and the northern border of Botswana, then along the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe to Mozambique, where it crosses the country to empty into the Indian Ocean. The Zambezi's most noted feature is Victoria Falls.
