Lover’s Leap Waterfall is a must see on your trip to Sri Lanka. This little known gem of a natural beauty spot is tucked away in Nuwara Eliya’s pretty countryside and makes for a perfect half day visit. Arriving from your hot, dusty tuk tuk ride into the fresh, manicured streets of Nuwara Eliya, you can see why people rave about one of Sri Lankas favourite destinations. But not many people leave the pretty little town and explore the surrounding countryside, making it the perfect place to get away from the crowds and off the beaten track.

2St Clair's Falls
St Clair’s is one of the widest waterfalls in Sri Lanka and called the “Little Niagara of Sri Lanka”. It is a strikingly beautiful waterfall, which is approximately 80 meters in height and 50 meters in width. This waterfall runs over a rock ridge, splitting into three cascades, and drops into a pool. This beautiful falls are situated close to the town of Talawakele on the Hatton-Talawakele Highway in Nuwara Eliya District.

Devon Falls, known as the 'Veil of the Valley', is a waterfall in Sri Lanka, situated 6 km west of Talawakele, Nuwara Eliya District on the A7 highway. The falls is named after a pioneer English coffee planter called Devon, whose plantation was situated nearby the falls.

The Bomburu Ella Waterfall is the widest waterfall you’ll find in Sri Lanka and it is among one of the most beautiful attractions here in the island’s hill country. While it is found a little ways away from the beaten path, this is an attraction that you should definitely seek out and enjoy. What makes the Bomburu Ella Waterfall stand out is its structure – it isn’t actually a single waterfall! Instead, it’s a collection of ten waterfalls that have formed side by side each other. All together, they make for a truly impressive sight that will forever be etched into your memory. in order to reach the Bomburu Ella Waterfall, you’ll have to take a 14-kilometre drive from your cosy room in Nuwara Eliya. There are several options when it comes to the route but generally, the Nuwara Eliya-Welimada is considered to be the best choice. Once you arrive on location there’s a bit of a challenging hike awaiting you. Don’t let that discourage you, however, the reward is more than worth it!
