1Wadi Dawkha
Drive via 'Qara' mountains. On a road progressively zigzagging up a vertical hill, herds of Camels & Cattle are a commonly spotted on the way which gives a picturesque view of one of Dhofari environments. Stop and visit Wadi Doka in the beginning of Najd (semi-desert) district 35 kilometres north of Salalah towards toward Thumrait (Bedouins settlement). Arrive at this UNESCO registered national reserve that contains 1230 perennial frankincense trees covering an area of 5 km” and have a real experience about this valuable famous tree. In addition to its scented smell, frankincense is also used as a remedial element

Proceed to Thumrait Town to have a few minutes refreshment and may be enjoying the Taste of Arabian cup of Coffee (Qahwah) and Dates (Tamer). The town of Thumrait has been a vital point in the ancient Frankincense trading routes. Gear up as you head to the next stop of lost city of Ubar archaeological.

Visit the legendary Lost City of Ubar, discovered in 1992 with the help of NASA satellites. Optional entry is available for 3 OMR per person (not included in the tour price). Alternatively, guests can enjoy a free photo stop from outside, with the guide sharing the history and significance of this ancient UNESCO site. This option allows more time to explore the beautiful desert dunes.
