Begin your adventure by meeting your guide in Pigadia and journeying by car to the foothills near Aperi. Start your scenic hike, surrounded by wildflowers, fragrant herbs, and the gentle sounds of Karpathian nature.
After about an hour’s steady climb, reach the charming Profitis Ilias church, perched at the summit and offering breathtaking panoramic views. Gaze out over the sparkling turquoise waters of Achata Beach and spot the villages of Menetes, Pigadia, Othos, Volada, and Aperi, each nestled into the landscape below.
Step inside the peaceful chapel, soak up the cool shade, and enjoy a well-deserved break. Catch your breath, snap some photos, and savor the island’s tranquil beauty.
Refreshed, make your gentle descent back to Aperi, where your vehicle awaits to return you to Pigadia.
