travels through Newport& Mullranny then across the bog lands along the Achill coast. to Achill sound on arrival
Park and lock bikes at the Achill Island Hotel.
Visit the hotels bar & restaurant with its stunning views over Achill sound fantastic local food and a great place to relax and wait for the bus
Return to Westport, just walk 500m across the bridge up to the church and take bus back to Westport at 3pm or 5pm. (4pm sundays)

An approximate 3- to 4-hour ride on the award-winning Great Western Greenway, a safe off-road cycling track (e-bikes advised) requires a modest degree of fitness. When you pause at Mulranny on this wonderfull cycle you'll be treated to breathtaking views of Clew Bay and Croagh Patrick Mountain with Clare Island in the background. Check out the location in Clewbay where the Spanish Armada sank during the sixteenth-century storms. Located on Ireland's Wild Atlantic Way, the Great Western Greenway makes for an enjoyable day trip. For test riding ability, we have both standard and e-bikes accessible.
