Pickup Information
Pickup is available from designated locations in Kigali and Musanze to ensure a smooth start to your experience. Travelers are advised to be ready at least 15 minutes before the scheduled departure time for check-in and luggage loading.
Both private and shared (group) transfers are available, depending on your booking option. Detailed pickup time and location will be confirmed after reservation.
For assistance on the day of travel, a local contact number will be provided. Early arrival at the pickup point is recommended to avoid delays.

1Lake Burera and Lake Ruhondo
Pickup from designated locations in Kigali in the morning and drive to Musanze (approx. 2.5–3 hours). Lunch in Musanze town, followed by an afternoon transfer to Lake Burera. Enjoy a guided lakeside nature walk with open views of Mounts Muhabura, Bisoke, and Gahinga. Visit nearby communities to learn about daily rural life, including banana and maize farming. 2Lake Burera and Lake Ruhondo
After breakfast, head out for a boat cruise on Lake Burera using a motorboat or traditional canoe. Explore several small islands, including Bushongo, Munanira, Bishosho, and Ile de Cyuza Island, with time to walk around, relax, and enjoy the lake scenery. Along the way, take part in bird watching, spotting species such as crested cranes, herons, kingfishers, and cormorants. Return to the mainland in the afternoon for leisure time by the lake. 3Lake Burera and Lake Ruhondo
Early morning traditional fishing experience with local fishermen, learning local techniques and catching tilapia and other lake fish. Breakfast follows the fishing activity. Later, enjoy a guided hike through the terraced hills between Lake Burera and Lake Ruhondo, offering elevated views of both lakes. Lunch with a local community. In the afternoon, take part in a guided cycling tour around lakeside villages and fishing settlements.
