Our school has been around for 20 years and is certified by the Portuguese Surfing Federation with a quality seal.
Experience surfing for the first time on the waves of Matosinhos, the best beach in Porto for beginners. In this relaxed and fun lesson, certified instructors help you step by step to stand up on the board and feel the thrill of surfing the Atlantic — all in a safe and welcoming environment.
What's Included
Meeting and pickup
To get to the surf school you can take bus number 500 or 502 (get off at the Plaza San Salvador stop), the surf school is right in front of the bus stop
What to expect
In this small group lesson (max. 8 people), you will discover the fundamentals of surfing with certified instructors who are passionate about the sea. After a brief warm-up and introduction on the sand, you will enter the water with all equipment included — board, wetsuit, and leash.
The instructors accompany each student individually, helping them improve their balance and technique while ensuring complete safety.
The setting is Matosinhos Beach, one of the most iconic in northern Portugal, known for its gentle waves and relaxed atmosphere.
Whether alone, with friends, or family, this is an unmissable experience to enjoy the sea, have fun, and create unique memories in Porto.
