    Tikal National Park

    We begin early in Flores, picking you up about 15 minutes before departure. From there, it’s a 1 hour 20-minute drive to Tikal National Park. After entering the park (TICKET NOT INCLUDED, tickets must be purchased in advance https://boletos.culturaguate.com/), we continue to the visitor center before starting our walk through the jungle. The highlight of the tour is climbing Temple IV to watch the sunrise over Tikal and hear the jungle come to life (if you choose the sunrise tour). Afterward, we explore key sites including the Lost World complex, the Great Plaza, and the iconic temples such as Temple I (Great Jaguar), Temple II, and Temple V. Along the way, you may spot incredible wildlife such as howler and spider monkeys, toucans, turkeys, and even coatis. Your guide will share insights into Maya history, architecture, and daily life as you explore the ruins. At the end of the tour, we return to the visitor center where you’ll have some free time before heading back to Flores.
