Balboa, once part of the former U.S. Canal Zone, served as a key administrative and residential area for Americans working on the Panama Canal. Located at the Pacific entrance of the Canal, it was home to the Panama Canal Administration Building and the port of Balboa. Today, its American-style architecture, wide streets, and lush greenery still reflect its U.S. legacy. Visitors can explore remnants of this unique history while enjoying views of ships entering the canal.
