The market is vibrant and intense, and you'll want to make sure valuables are left at home or in a safe place. You'll see vendors selling stunning Tanzanian fabrics, used and new clothes and shoes, artwork, and all types of food staples. Don't miss this chance!

A market visit is a great chance to stretch your legs and learn about how people live on a daily basis. You should go for the experience and not specifically to buy. The market is noisy and can be overwhelming, but exciting and shows how families really live. You'll also learn about TST's work empowering the local community, and throughout the day, I will teach you about the Meru tribal culture and history. You can also add on a Tanzanian lunch at our site for $10 extra per person.
