Khorgo Mountain is an inactive volcano located on the east coast of White Lake. Khorgiin togoo is found in the crater of the highest volcano in the Orkhon river valley. From the top of this basalt covered mountain you have a splendid view over the whole region and the lake. The volcanic crater of Togoo Uul is 200 m wide and 100 m deep. The crater of Togoo Uul volcano is covered with Siberian larch. One of the most interesting views of Khorgo is the so-called Basalt Ger, which is located on the south side. It is a large solidified lava bubble with a broken piece on one side, which makes a natural door. The height of some of these stone gers is 1.7 m. Several other ancient volcanoes are not far from the Khorgo. Lake Terkhiin Tsagaan was formed when lava from the volcano dammed the Suman River, cutting a great gorge through the basalt. It is an amazingly beautiful lake, 20 km long, 16 km wide and 4 to 10 meters deep, with an altitude of 2,060 m above sea level.
The borderlands between Khövsgöl and Arkhangai aimag largely constitute a series of dry, rocky valleys and raw, ochre upcountry. You can make a nice drive here, passing through towns such as Shine-Ider. Zuun Nuur lake is situated about 2000 meters above sea level. Camping on the banks of Lake Zuun, magnificently nestled in the heart of the steppe.
We arrive at Lake Khövsgöl, one of the natural wonders of the world. It is surrounded by many peaks that culminate over 2,000 meters and are covered with pine forests and lush meadows where yaks and horses graze. We will hike, walk and bathe in the crystal clear waters of the lake.

We will continue the trip to the monastery of Amarbayasgalant, whose name means "monastery of peaceful happiness", is located near the river Selenge, at the foot of Mount Burenkhan. It is one of the three largest monasteries in Mongolia. This monastery shows a true archaeological unit. The place is symmetrical and the main buildings are followed along a North-South axis; The other buildings are located on the parallel lateral axis. Today you can see 28 buildings, especially a two-story temple that covers an area of 32 square meters (344 square feet) and is open for ceremonies. Gorkhi - Terelj National Park located 55 kilometers east of Ulan Bator, in the strictly protected area of Khentii. Many rock formations sculpted by erosion will delight climbers. Near the park entrance, we can see many rock formations, particularly the turtle rock, "melkhi khad", a striking 24-meter (78.74 ft) tall rock formation reminiscent of a turtle.
