The North Coast of Rapa Nui (Easter Island) was the territory of the aristocratic Miru tribe and its many branches. There are no roads here, only narrow trails to explore more than ten miles of Rapa Nui lands only hearing the sounds of nature. It always is an unforgettable experience.
We will hike through ancient moai roads, remains of villages, incredible ceremonial centers, petroglyphs and the rocky landscapes of the nortwest and north coasts. Along the way we make stops at Ahu Atiu, Moai Omorito, Ahu Ma'itaki te Moa, Ahu Motu Tavake, Ahu Vai Mataa, Omohi petroglyph site, Ana o Heu, Ahu O Toki, Ahu A Tanga a Rea, the ahu complex at Hanga Tavari, Hanga Oteo, Papa Tekena and optional swimming in Anakena sandy beach.

We meet or pick up our travelers from any place in Hanga Roa urban area including the Mataveri International Airport (IPC) and major hotels, hostels, vacation homes, camping sites, downtown, etc. Travelers need to have the National Park Ticket to enter most of the sites. Ticket not included.
We can pick up travelers or meet them at a starting point
We will hike for 6 to 7 hours along the nortwestern and northern part of the Rapa Nui National Park, an area without roads where no motorized vehicles are allowed and very few people venture. We will pass by multiple ancient settlements including Ma'itaki te Moa, Vai Matā, Omohi, Otoki, Hanga Oteo, Papa Tekena, Vai Tara Kai 'Ua and Hanga Ohiro. In these we will see remains of monumental ahu, many fallen moai, some caves and petroglyph sites in an area that has been mostly undisturbed in the last 150 years.
After 6-7 hours of hike, we reach the white sandy beach of Anakena, the capital of the Royal Miru district. Swimming is optional.
