We'll pick you up from the airport in Kathmandu and that's when our journey begins.
Once you reach the arrival section of Tribhuvan International airport, you will be welcomed by one of our team members. Then you will be given a brief description of how the millennium trek goes, followed by escorting you to a hotel in our private vehicle. We will enjoy a heartwarming dinner and spend the night at the hotel.
Explore Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple) with panoramic views of the valley, followed by a visit to the historic Kathmandu Durbar Square, rich with Nepalese art and architecture.
Visit Boudhanath Stupa, a significant Buddhist site, then explore Pashupatinath Temple, Nepal’s holiest Hindu shrine, and Budanilkantha’s Sleeping Vishnu statue.
Journey through the scenic countryside to Kerung, crossing the Nepal-Tibet border.
Acclimatize and relax in Kerung.
Travel through the Tibetan landscape, stopping to admire mountain views and lakes en route to Saga
Drive to Darchen, with views of Mount Kailash and Lake Mansarovar.
Visit Lake Manasarovar and Chiu Monastery, enjoying stunning views of Mount Kailash.
Start the Kailash Kora with a trek to Dirapuk, passing Yamadwar and enjoying views of Mount Kailash.
Cross Drolma La Pass, the highest point of the Kora, and descend to Zuthul Puk.
Our day begins with breakfast. After breakfast, we drive to Kathmandu by road through small villages, terrific landscapes, and a sneak peek at mountains from far. After driving for about 6 to 7 hours, you reach Kathmandu and will be spending the night there in a hotel. Here the Millennium trek ends.
Return to Kerung, retracing the scenic Tibetan landscape.
Drive back to Kathmandu. In the evening, enjoy a farewell dinner at a traditional Nepalese restaurant.
