What to expect

09:00-09:30 AM: Pick-up from your accommodation in Chiang Mai in a 10-seater air-conditioned VIP van. Begin your journey toward Chiang Rai.

11:00 AM: Take a 20-minute restroom and refreshment break. Then drive approximately 1.5 hours to Chiang Rai City.

01.00 PM: Enjoy a one-hour lunch stop at a local restaurant.

02.00 PM: Continue the drive toward the Chiang Khong border.

3:30 PM: Arrive at Chiang Khong. Complete the Thai departure process and cross the Thai-Lao Friendship Bridge (Bridge No. 4) via shuttle bus for approximately 20 minutes.

4:30 PM: Arrive at the Laos border control. Complete your visa process (e-visa or visa on arrival). After all passengers have crossed, our team will meet you to continue the journey.

5:30 PM: Arrive in Huay Xai, Laos. Drop-off at hotels in the downtown area only.

  • Important Travel Notice (Effective from 27 October 2025): Please note that, due to current border regulations between Thailand and Laos, travelers holding passports from Israel, the Philippines, Türkiye, and Indonesia are not permitted to cross the Chiang Khong – Huay Xai border checkpoint. As a result, travelers from these countries cannot join this tour from Thailand to Laos. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your kind understanding.
  • For separate bookings, please send all booking references at least 2 days before the travel date so we can try to seat your group in the same van.
