This is a unique tour in the area since the reserve has an area of primary and secondary forest at more than 200 meters high, which allows you to see certain very beautiful birds such as tanagers, trogons, and rare ones such as the antpitta.

We have local guides specialized in birds and the trails are suitable for beginner walkers.

What to expect

Costa Rica is a top destination for bird watchers. If you love to see colorful birds of any kind, this tour is just the right one for you! Oro Verde is a private reserve of 155 hectares with primary and secondary forests managed by a local family for more than 40 years.

At first, a bilingual naturalist guide with all the equipment needed will lead you around the forest and explore the different types of birds that live here. You will be in a small group of people and learn a lot about the bird's habitat. After the tour, you will get a typical costa Rican breakfast at The Duarte´s house.
