2Girona
Our first stop will be Girona, known as the "city of four rivers". We will start the tour at the Stone Bridge (Pont de Pedra), one of the most iconic points of the city, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the Onyar River and the famous colored houses that line its banks. From there, we will head to Barri Vell, Girona’s old town, a maze of narrow, cobblestone streets full of history. In this picturesque neighborhood, we will visit Girona Cathedral, famous for its impressive Baroque facade and for housing the widest Gothic nave in the world. The cathedral is also a prominent setting of the popular Game of Thrones series. We will finish our visit to Girona with a walk along the old city walls. Then we will stop for lunch at a local restaurant, where you can enjoy the gastronomy of the region.

Then we will go to Hostalric Castle, where you will enjoy a guided tour by accredited local guides who will accompany you in the discovery of this imposing fortress, which has played an important role in different episodes of the history of Catalonia. The guided tour, lasting approximately 1h30, will allow you to understand the evolution of this medieval castle into a modern fortress. You will learn about the motives behind its transformation, the construction system used and the defensive elements typical of this fortification. During the tour, you can access the noblest room of the castle, the knight, a space of the old castle of the Cabrera, where you will be explained the most surprising details of the history of the building. The visit culminates in the courtyard, where you can enjoy an excellent panorama of the area, overlooking the Montseny massif, the Montsoriu Castle and the Montengre Corridor mountain range.
