    Kralendijk is the capital city and main port of the island of Bonaire. In Dutch, Koralendijk (of which the name Kralendijk is a degeneration) means “coral reef” or “coral dike.” In Papiamentu, the town is often called Playa or “beach.” Kralendijk is a lively and colorful Caribbean town center.

    1000 Steps

    The tour passes along the leeward coast of Bonaire through Queen’s Highway. This is a narrow road that hugs the northern shoreline with beautiful scenery of various dive spots. Along this road, we will stop by the beach of 1000 Steps, which thanks it's name to the limestone stairs you have to descend to get there.

    Gotomeer is a saltwater lagoon near the island’s northern end and it is a flamingo hangout. You'll get the chance to step out and hopefully spot the flamingos in their natural habitat.

    Slave Huts at White Pan

    Visit the Slave Huts constructed in 1850 during the slavery time, which served as camping facilities for slaves working in the salt ponds to collect and ship the salt, one of Bonaire’s most important export products.
