An exciting visit inside the Borgo dei Cartai of Subiaco.
Set out to discover the origins of papermaking inside the Borgo dei Cartai of Subiaco. Explore the ancient traditions of papermaking: a master papermaker will guide you throughout the Museum, located inside the Borgo dei Cartai in Subiaco. In its rooms there are faithful reproductions of the original machinery of 1500. You will learn ancient techniques of cellulose extraction and paper sheet production, and you will have the opportunity to observe the mechanisms of Gutenberg printing. After the visit, you will be able to put into practice with your own hands all the information received with our laboratories:
-"Create your own sheet of paper": Make your own sheet of paper with your own hands following step by step the ancient technique that begins with the transformation of cellulose dough.
-"Mobile type printing": Learn how the mechanism invented by Gutenberg in 1450 works and print with movable type whatever you want.
