Depart Cape Town City Centre from your hotel in a private luxury air-conditioned vehicle with your guide-driver and return. We will collect at any hotel within a 10km radius to the Cape Town City Centre.

You will be collected at approximately 04:30am for a scenic drive from your Cape Town City Centre hotel to Aquila Private Game Reserve (2–2.5 hours via the N1). This early departure ensures you join the morning safari when wildlife is most active, roaming freely before retreating to the shade as the day warms. Experience the thrill of possibly spotting the Big Five in their habitat during the magical early hours of the Karoo.

2Aquila Private Game Reserve
Arrive at Aquila Private Game Reserve at sunrise at 07h00 and be welcomed with drinks and breakfast soaking in the serene Karoo landscapes. At 08h00, embark on an open 4x4 Big 5 game drive with other guests and with your expert guide, possibly spotting lions, elephants, rhinos, buffalo along with giraffes and antelope grazing in the golden morning light. Hear fascinating insights about wildlife behavior and conservation, capturing unforgettable photos along the way. By 10h00, return to the lodge for leisure time—relax with a coffee on the deck, take a short walk, or simply enjoy the peaceful surroundings. At 12h00, depart for Dekkersvlei Vineyards only a 1hr 30min drive carrying memories of thrilling wildlife encounters and the majestic Southern Karoo.

3Paarl
Travel from Aquila Private Game Reserve through to Paarl on a scenic route to visit one of the oldest Vineyards in the Cape. The drive will take approximately 1hr and 30min.

You will arrive at Dekkersvlei Vineyards at approximately 13:30/14:00pm in the afternoon where you will join an option of a Taste the Original Tour: a guided walk through the vineyards and cellar, including tastings of grapes, fresh wine juice, and barrel samples or alternatively, guests may choose a Standard 5-wine tasting experience. Relax at the vineyard, enjoy light snacks (own account), and browse the wine shop.
