A driver will be waiting for you at arrivals and will transfer you from Sao Miguel Airport to your 4-star Hotel, which is centrally located. Free time to relax and discover Ponta Delgada's charming cafes and many other of our suggested spots. *We can organize travel from Lisbon or Porto, contact us for more.

After breakfast, tour Lagoa do Fogo and Sete Cidades. The tour starts at a traditional pineapple plantation, where you can taste pineapple liquor. Next, enjoy the view from Pico de Carvão and the stunning Vista do Rei viewpoint over the twin lakes of Sete Cidades. After a visit to Santiago’s lake, lunch will be served in the charming town of Sete Cidades. In the afternoon, the tour proceeds along the western coastline to Capelas, an ancient whaling village, stopping at Pedras Negras viewpoint for views of the northern coast. We’ll visit Ribeira Grande’s historic center and have the option to tour the Regional Liquor Factory. Finally, you can relax in the warm waters of Caldeira Velha before heading to Lagoa do Fogo for breathtaking views. The journey concludes as we return to Ponta Delgada, taking in views from Pico da Barrosa.

After breakfast, we will pick you up at the hotel to further explore the Island. We’ll start our tour in Vila Franca do Campo, the original capital of São Miguel, where you can taste the famous local pastry, Queijada da Vila. Next, we’ll visit Furnas Valley near Furnas Lake to explore volcanic fumaroles and see how the traditional Cozido das Furnas (Furnas stew) is prepared. You’ll also have the option to visit Terra Nostra Garden and enjoy a thermal bath, so remember to bring your swimsuits! In Furnas village, you can see more fumaroles and their medicinal properties. On the way up to Pico de Ferro’s viewpoint, you'll get a stunning view of Furnas Valley. We’ll then stop at the Gorreana Tea Plantation in Ribeira Grande for a tasting of black and green tea. Finally, our tour will wrap up at Santa Iria’s viewpoint, offering gorgeous north coast views.

Have you ever seen whales and dolphins up close? Then this is it! During this trip, you will have the opportunity to see some of the 28 species of cetaceans that have already been identified in the waters of the Azores. You'll be in the company of whales and dolphins during the three-hour boat trip, where you may also see turtles, birds and other marine species.

After breakfast we will pick you up at the hotel to further explore the Island. The day begins leaving Ponta Delgada towards the north coast with the first stop at Ribeira dos Caldeirões. Here, we will be delighted by the beautiful waterfall, very well-known as Véu da Noiva and its watermills and gardens. Passing by the picturesque village of Nordeste towards the wonderful and landscaped viewpoints, Ponta do Sossego and Ponta da Madrugada, placed in the eastern tip of the island, is possible to view the beautiful lighthouse from the top of the cliff. The lunch will be at Povoação’s village, the first place to be settled. In the afternoon, you can relax near the sea or visit its historic center. The way back to Ponta Delgada is made along the south coast, passing by the Lake of Furnas.
