It is easy to understand why, observing from below the Umbrian town standing above the tuff cliff below Orvieto is an ancient town located on a tuff rock outcrop located 300 meters above the splendid Val di Paglia.
The city is mainly known for its Duomo and is considered one of the most important in Europe in terms of architecture, for its Etruscan roots and for museums where there are collections covering over 2,500 years of history.
