Eswatini is a small land-locked country in southern Africa. It is surrounded by Mozambique to the east and by South Africa to the north, west and south. The country is ruled by an absolute Monarch and it is well known as a destination for those interested in African cultural indulgence.
Your first stop after border formalities will be Ngwenya Glass. This factory started as a community skills training project where locals were trained in an old Swedish glass-blowing technique. The factory has grown over the years and has become a major tourist attraction. You will visit an observation deck to see the workers in action. There is a factory shop for souvenirs as well as many other stalls in the vicinity.
A stop at the market with enable you to interact with the locals while appreciating their many offering sold in stalls from local fruits, vegetables, traditional medicines, art and craft gadgets and the like. Thereafter, you will be dropped at your overnight accommodation in the heart Lobamba district.
This village was established to showcase both past and present history, culture and customs of the people of Eswatini in the form of music, dance and story-telling. You will have the opportunity to interact directly with the locals who are always willing to answer any questions about their country.
The Park is dedicated to King Sobuza II who is said to be the longest serving king in the world. You will be met by a local guide who will talk about important political personalities and events.
This is another community project that has grown so much and has become one of the country's major tourist attraction. You will see how the locals have mastered the skill of working with wax to produce beautiful artefacts found only in Eswatini. There are also many art and craft stalls in the vicinity.
After the tour, we head east towards Lomahasha border post. Once immigration processes have been completed, we drive straight to Maputo and check in at Stay Easy Maputo

Here, you shouldn’t be surprised if you see hippo, warthog or bushbuck roaming the streets, or heavyweight birds such as African fish eagle, trumpeter hornbill and purple-crested turaco calling loudly from the canopy. Wildlife aside, St Lucia is a modern town with plenty of restaurants, and it forms the best urban base for exploring iSimangaliso Wetland Park, a Unesco World Heritage Site renowned for its terrestrial and marine biodiversity. Your overnight venue will be iGwalagwala Guest House in St. Lucia before proceeding to the Underberg area the following day.
Today you will have to opportunity to spot crocodiles and hippos in their natural habitat. There are also a variety of birds on site as you cruise along
The day will be spent in the vehicle driving to the south coast and stopping occasionally for stretching up and refreshments before checking in at Ceder Guest house in Underberg.
Today you will enjoy scenic drive in a 4x4 vehicle in the company of an experienced and knowledgeable local guide. You will depart early in the morning and meandering on the rugged roads of the Drakensberg Mountains until you reach the border control into the famous 10 km trip on Lesotho territory. During this venture, you will also get the opportunity to savor local beer and other drinks of your choice at the highest pub in Africa on Sani Mountain Lodge. The trip will wind back late that afternoon before being dropped off at your final destination.
