We will start by 8AM in the morning from where you staying in Colombo, Negombo or suburbs. Then you will shift to an open concept 4×4 safari jeep and will reach the Kaudulla, Minneriya or Hurulu eco national park (based on the transitioning behavior of wildlife creatures) where the largest elephant gatherings are happening in Sri Lanka. Spotting them near the lake will be one of the most interesting highlights of your Sri Lanka trip. Other than that there are other wildlife creatures such as endemic Sri Lankan Sambar Deers, Axis deers, 02 types of endemic monkeys, wide range of birds and the list goes on. Our trekker will ride you to the spots where you can spot these creatures. Evening Snacks will be provided. Minneriya National Park

Minneriya National Park was designated as a national park on 12 August 1997, having been originally declared as a wildlife sanctuary in 1938. The reason for declaring the area is to protect the catchment of Minneriya tank and the wildlife of the surrounding area. The tank is of historical importance, having been built by King Mahasen in the third century AD. The park is a dry season feeding ground for the elephant population dwelling in forests of Polonnaruwa, and Trincomalee districts. Along with Kaudulla and Girithale, Minneriya forms one of the 70 Important bird areas of Sri Lanka.
