A gentle drive through the souss plain -with a quick stop on the way to spot the flying goats on Argan tree- will bring us to the ancient walled city of Taroudant, a very friendly Berber village overlooked by the high atlas mountains. After a quick visit to Taroudant's small traditional souk and a short climb to the fortified ramparts, that reveals the true beauty of the surrounding countryside, we will drive to the Oasis and the Kasbah (fortress) of Tiout, where a very tasty lunch awaits us. After lunch break, it will be the right time to stroll through the palm trees on a donkey ride and around the Kasbah where the movie of Ali Baba and 40 thieves was filmed in the 50s.

Most citizens attracted by the tourist trade live in more modern dwellings in a village on the other side of the river, although there are four families still living in the ancient village. Inside the walls of the ksar are half a dozen kasbahs, or merchants' houses. Ksar Aït Benhaddou is a great example of Moroccan earthen clay architecture and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987

As we walk around it, you will learn from your guide much about its history and the 5 pillars of Islam, along with other religious matters. From here, we head to see the Saadian Tombs. Sultan Ahmed El-Mansour of the Saadian dynasty which ruled Morocco from 1554 to 1659. We will then take a short walk in the Mellah, a historical Jewish quarter before we reach the Bahia Palace. The gorgeous palace will take you back to the 19th as it exhibits the Moroccan and Islamic art. We carry out with our historical journey through the labyrinthine Medina streets,
