St. Mark's Church, originally built in the 13th century and renovated several times over the centuries. However, its most distinctive feature is undoubtedly the colorful tiled roof, which depicts the coats of arms of Zagreb and Croatia, along with the emblem of the medieval Triune Kingdom of Croatia, Slavonia, and Dalmatia.
Dating back to the 13th century, this historic structure is the only remaining entrance to the medieval fortified city of Gradec, now part of Zagreb's Upper Town. The Stone Gate stands as a timeless symbol of faith, resilience, and the enduring spirit of Zagreb.
The Zagreb Cathedral, dedicated to the Assumption of Mary and Saint Stephen, is an awe-inspiring architectural masterpiece that dominates the city skyline.
