    The historical Kampong Ayer is regarded as the largest Water Village settlement in the world. The centuries-old Kampong Ayer is dubbed as "Venice of the East" by Venetian Antonio Pigafetta who sail to Brunei with Ferdinand Magellan's flagship "Victoria" in 1521.     The Kampong Ayer Cultural Gallery located at the historical Water Village was opened on 19th Aug 2009. Established to provide a glimpse into Kampong Ayer celebrated past.     RIPAS bridge named after Her Majesty the Queen is an iconic part of the capital's skyline. The 750-metre landmark bridge is the world’s second longest single-pylon cable-stayed bridge.
