    Start your day early to make the most of your time. Leave Kathmandu and head towards Budhanilkantha, located on the northern outskirts of the city. It is the starting point for the hike.

    Begin your hike from the Budhanilkantha area. Follow the trail that leads you uphill towards the Shivapuri National Park entrance gate. Enjoy the scenic surroundings as you ascend.

    Once you enter the park, continue hiking along the trail. The trail will take you through lush forests, passing streams and waterfalls. After some time, you'll reach Nagi Gompa, a Buddhist monastery situated amidst serene surroundings. Take a break here, explore the monastery, and enjoy the panoramic views of the Kathmandu Valley.

    Resume your hike from Nagi Gompa. The trail continues uphill, offering beautiful views of the surrounding hills and valleys. After a steady climb, you'll reach Baghdwar, which is the source of the Bagmati River and a sacred spot for Hindus. Take some time to rest and enjoy the peaceful ambiance

    After enjoying the views, start descending back towards Baghdwar. From Baghdwar, retrace your steps and hike back to the Shivapuri National Park entrance gate. Exit the park and follow the trail back to Budhanilkantha. Arrange for transportation from Budhanilkantha to Kathmandu.
