Today we're going to explore Sarajevo, the capital and largest city of Bosnia and Herzegovina which is notably marked by its period under Ottoman rule. Mostar, one of the most frequented attractions in Bosnia, thanks to its outstanding natural beauty, architecture, and, of course, its famous UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Stari Most (Old Bridge). You'll explore and walk through the cobblestone alleys of this vibrant city. Taverns and restaurants where you can sample the best of local cuisine, together with cafes, bars and shops line the streets.
Blagaj has always been a place visited for its beauty, fascinating nature and history. Blagaj area is known for its diverse flora and many endemic species. Here are some national monuments that will be worth visiting besides the noteworthy Blagaj Tekke, a monastery built for the Dervish cults. The unique atmosphere at the source of the river Buna, the peace of the Dervish House and the fresh waters of Buna make it a truly special place.
Radimlja is a main UNESCO World Heritage Site where is possible to see so called Stecci, a monumental medieval tombstones. Radimlja necropolis located near town Stolac, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and is one of the most valuable monuments of the medieval period in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Vjetrenica (the wind cave) is the largest and most important cave in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and one of the most important caves in the Dinaric Alps mountain range, which is famous worldwide for its karstic and speleological richness. It is a real treasure in biodiversity. Also, it is the home to the famous olm (cave aquatic salamander) and houses beautiful cave formations as well. At the end of cave tour we will visit Zavala cave monastery near by.
The famous Monastery Tvrdos, located about four kilometers from Trebinje, dates back to the Middle Ages and it is believed that it was founded by the Czar, Saint Constantine, and his mother Saint Helen. Today, the monastery is renowned for its wine production in hundred-year-old oak barrels and its wine cellars, one of which dates to the 15th century.
Trebinje, one of the most beautiful cities in the country, is the economic and cultural center of the region of Eastern Herzegovina. Its Ottoman walled Old Town together with the Arslanagic Bridge (which is one of the most attractive Ottoman-era bridges in Bosnia and Herzegovina) are the most visited tourist attraction in Trebinje. Besides, there are a lot of sights and more nearby. Here we will have a dinner with tasting of real Herzegovina wine from family running winery.
Trebinje, one of the most beautiful cities in the country, is the economic and cultural center of the region of Eastern Herzegovina. Here we will have a dinner with tasting of real Herzegovina wine from family running winery.
We will continue to explore Trebinje, with visiting a church on the hill overlooking whole town and admire panoramic view of Trebinje.
On the way back to Sarajevo we will have a short stop to see old monastery Dobricevo, and lunch in a restaurant.
