    My Son Sanctuary

My Son Sanctuary is the former holy site of the Cham people in Vietnam. Amazing Hindu temples built dating to the 7th century, come to admire the skillful talent of the Cham people as well as understanding of Cham culture. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, My Son Sanctuary is situated close to Hoi An in central Vietnam. From the fourth until the thirteenth century, it functioned as the Champa Kingdom's center of worship. The Hindu temple ruins in the sanctuary, which were devoted to the worship of the god Shiva, are well-known. The architecture, which features elaborate carvings, sculptures, and ornamental themes, is a fusion of Indian and indigenous Cham craftsmanship. The site continues to be a significant historical and archaeological landmark, providing insights into the rich cultural past of the area, while withstanding centuries of natural deterioration and the devastation of war.
