 The medina of Fez can be traveled in the middle of the morning and there would still be plenty of time. This is what the agencies do and the traveler did it on his first visit. They took him in a taxi to the nearest door, showed him the atmosphere of Saffarine Square, surrounding the Qarouine Mosque, or some other place that the traveler no longer remembers, took him back to his hotel.

The Old Medina dates from the eighth century and comprises more than 300 neighborhoods and 9,000 alleys, constituting a network of streets in which only the Fesi know how to orient themselves.
