Once at the river, our certified naturalist guide will provide a safety briefing and basic paddling instructions. Then, we’ll gently float downstream through calm waters surrounded by lush tropical rainforest. This peaceful journey allows you to fully appreciate Costa Rica’s incredible biodiversity while your guide helps spot wildlife along the riverbanks and treetops.
During the float, you may see sloths, monkeys, iguanas, river turtles, crocodiles, and a wide variety of birds, including herons, kingfishers, and toucans.
Halfway through the tour, we’ll stop for a short break with refreshments before continuing downstream.

What to expect
We begin with hotel pick-up in La Fortuna town around 7:00 AM or 1:00PM, spending a short time collecting other travelers before heading to the river.
