1Monteverde Cloud Forest Biological Reserve
Explore the Monteverde Cloud Forest on a guided hike along the Forest Heart Path, accompanied at all times by an expert naturalist guide who will help you discover the extraordinary biodiversity of this ecosystem. During the tour you will learn about the local flora and fauna as you search for birds, mammals, amphibians and insects that inhabit the forest. The trail has an easy to moderate difficulty and is ideal for most travelers. You will also cross the iconic suspension bridge of the reserve, from where you will enjoy a unique perspective of the cloud forest canopy. At the end of the hike, you will enjoy a delicious lunch in Monteverde before embarking on a return to San Jose.
