Wat Dusittharam is a peaceful temple just outside Ayutthaya’s city island, near Khlong Ayodhya. Its name means “place of contentment” in Sanskrit. The temple has two parts—an old section with a large chedi, vihara, and ordination hall, and a newer area with modern monastic buildings. This quiet spot reflects Ayutthaya’s spiritual heritage and offers visitors a calm place to explore and reflect.

7Wat Maheyong
Wat Maheyong is a historic Buddhist monastery just east of Ayutthaya’s old city. Built in the 15th century, it likely served as a meditation center.
